Cappellini is founded in 1946 by an Italian artist, Enrico Cappellini. The second generation, Giulio Cappellini, has brought the company into a new horizon and experienced a creative evolution that has placed them at the forefront in the world of design and furnishings. Cappellini, which since 2014 becomes a part of the Poltrona Frau Group, has created highly artistic furniture products, such as sofas, tables, chairs, kitchen sinks, lamps, bookcases, shelves, light fixtures and many more. The whole Cappellini collections have a strong character to match the exclusive, functional, and durable yet with simple design products manufactured with sophisticated and high level technical competence. The renowned designers have been included in Cappelini works, namely Tom Dixon, Marc Newson, Satyendra Pakhale, Jasper Morrison, Alessandro Mendini, the Erwan & Ronan Bouroullec. Today, Cappellini is proud to have 18 pieces included in the permanent Design Collection at the Museum of Modern Art.
